Where you'll pitch up
Your Pitch. Your Escape. Your Hideout.
We keep it simple: all-weather electric hardstandings, electric grass pitches, and classic non-electric grass pitches — all set in the same quiet corner of the Levels.
Before you book
Good to know
As a small, independent park, we have a few terms and conditions in place to help everyone enjoy their stay at The Hideout.
- —Noise levels. Our guests choose The Hideout for the peace and tranquillity of the open countryside, so we kindly ask that music, TVs and general noise are kept at a considerate level at all times, and to an absolute minimum between 9pm and 8:00am. If you’re looking to relax, unwind and enjoy some peace and quiet, you’ll feel right at home. If you’re looking for a lively party destination, The Hideout probably isn’t the right fit.
- —🚐 Keeping Things Clean & Green. To help us keep The Hideout looking lovely and conserve water, we kindly ask that cars, caravans and motorhomes aren’t washed while on site.
- —Keeping The Hideout peaceful 🌿 We do not permit motorbikes or drones on site, helping us preserve the calm and tranquil environment our guests come to enjoy.
- —Our reception is not permanently staffed. At The Hideout, we offer a more personal welcome rather than a traditional reception desk. Please book ahead so we know when you’re arriving and we can be here to greet you.
- —Group bookings. Small group bookings are accepted solely at the discretion of the owners and must be arranged in advance of arrival.
- —Payment. A deposit of 20% is due at the time of booking and is non-refundable and non-transferable, with the balance due at least 4 weeks before arrival. A reminder will be sent approximately 30 days prior to arrival. The park reserves the right to relet pitches and accommodation that has not been paid for, in full, 4 weeks prior to arrival.
- —Extra adults. To preserve the peace and quiet that our guests expect and enjoy at our park, we prefer 2 adults per pitch. We do allow up to 2 extra adults, so long as our tranquil ethos is observed.
- —Early departures. If you choose to leave the park before your booked departure date for whatever reason, no refunds will be given for the remaining days of your booking.
- —Arrival and departure times. Touring pitches are reserved from 2.30pm on the day of arrival until 11.00am on the day of departure. The pitch must be vacated by this time and new arrivals must not be before 2.30pm. Latest check-in time is 6.45pm.
- —Vehicle access. For security reasons and to keep noise levels at a minimum late at night, there is no vehicle access into the park after 11.30pm. Pedestrian access only is available after this time, and vehicles must be left in our car park.
- —At least one member of the party must be aged 21 or over.
- —No commercial vehicles. Vehicles used for work-related purposes, carrying goods or fare-paying passengers — including sign-written vehicles — are not permitted on site.
- —No continental touring caravans. Caravans built with the passenger door on the right-hand side are not permitted — this includes makes such as Hobby, Roma, Tabbert, LMC, TEC and Weippert.
- —7-metre limit. Units longer than 7 metres are not allowed.
- —No ball games. The Hideout is all about peace and quiet — ball games aren’t allowed.
- —No dogs. Dogs are not allowed on site.
- —Walk-in guests. We cannot guarantee availability for walk-in guests — please book ahead.
- —Travelling by bike? We welcome cycle tourists, but please book in advance whenever possible. We cannot guarantee a pitch for guests who arrive without a reservation, as reception is not always staffed 24/7 and we may be away from the site. The campsite may also be closed during holiday periods, so booking ahead helps ensure someone is available to welcome you.
Thanks so much for helping us keep The Hideout peaceful and beautiful for everyone. 🌿
We reserve the right to make changes to these conditions at any time if the need arises.
